he got scouted when he was in the us at one of rain’s concerts by JYP himself, and therefore he got chosen to become a trainee, and hes been training for years beside all the members of 2PM,
well when your a trainee, of course they’re going to let you learn the language before you can debut, at least communicate
hes Thai-Chinese-American(since he’s born in california – that explains the english)

and they debuted last year..so at least 4 years i think. maybe less?
